Lancaster Uni student rents rise by 2.5%

28/11/14: Lancaster University’s Finance and General Purposes Committee has approved a 2.5%increase in campus rent, and a five per cent increase in tuition fees for postgraduates and overseas students.

The Storey Creative Industries Centre

The Storey CIC combines one of Lancaster’s finest Grade 2 listed buildings, with a 21st century infrastructure. The SCIC contains a theatrical auditorium, lecture theatre, tasting gardens, rentable offices, workshop spaces, exhibition space, meeting rooms and a cafe & bar.  

Guardian Readers Caught in Traffic

20/11/08: The national Guardian published a piece on moving to Lancaster last weekend, claiming one local described the town as the "Brighton of the north" (a claim usually reserved for Morecambe, so I imagine Councillor Sands will be having words). "Lancaster has that right combo of heritage and heresy," wrote Tom Dyckhoff.
