Police are appealing for information after a 39 year old man was found injured on Skerton Bridge just after 7.30pm on Thursday 31st July.
Officers believe the man had walked from Lancaster city centre and enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances that led to his injuries.
He was seen just prior to 7.30pm walking close to Skerton Bridge and was found by police just after 7.30pm in the road.
The man from Skerton sustained cuts and bruises to his face and has been treated at Royal Preston Hospital for broken ribs, a back injury and a collapsed lung.
He is described as a white male, 6ft tall with short dark hair and of a stocky build. He was wearing a black t-shirt and black stonewashed jeans.
DS Simon Ball of Lancaster and Morecambe CID, said: “We are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen this man walking from Lancaster city centre or who may have been driving close to Skerton Bridge at the time. Anyone with information should contact police on 101 quoting log number LC-20140731-1220.”
