Preston Community Transport is looking for volunteer drivers to help them deliver services in the Lancaster and Morecambe area.
Part of the charity’s service provision is Community Cars Lancashire which incorporates Lancaster and Morecambe and Lune Valley.
“We at present we have very few drivers in the area,” says PCT’s Derrick Stainton, “and are looking to recruit volunteer drivers whom use there own cars to take people to appointments day centre and various other activities.”
Drivers are reimbursed at 40 pence per mile for fuel costs as this is purely voluntary.
