Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was robbed while walking through Morecambe late last Thursday.

At around 11.20pm on Thursday (7th October 2010) the 45-year-old man was walking down one of the alleyways off West End Road near to Breezers Bar, when he was approached by three men.

The men then attacked the victim, pushing him to the floor, kicking him to the head and ribs before searching his pockets and stealing an amount of cash – then running away in an unknown direction.

The victim was taken to Royal Lancaster hospital suffering from a minor head injury but has since been released.

Unfortunately, at this stage there are no descriptions of the three men.

DC Sarah Cole said, “This is a particularly nasty assault and the victim was clearly very shaken by the experience and I would urge anyone who may have been in the area or seen or heard anything to come forward and contact police.”
