The Lancaster and District Heritage Group meeting next week focuses on Early Aviation in Lancaster and the Georgian flying Doughnuts… subject matter that surely should intrigue!
Taking place on Tuesday 26th April at 7.00pm at the George and Dragon pub, and online, the guest speaker will be local historian and researcher Shaun Corkerry.
Shaun will be looking at Aviation pioneers in Lancaster and the surrounding areas in the lead up to World War One, and a bit beyond, including some surprising experimental aircraft and their lasting legacies, which can still be seen today.
