Located just five minutes off junction 35 off the M6, Lakeland Wildlife Oasis is easy to reach by car (unfortunately, nearest 555 bus stop at Smithy Inn is a 30 minute plus walk away) the zoo is home to lush indoor tropical halls, walkthrough enclosures and picturesque outdoor spaces – making the zoo great fun, no matter the weather.

The zoo is home to over 100 species of mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, fish and invertebrates, offering a unique and exciting blend of wildlife and interactive hands-on displays.

Owned and operated by a registered charity (The Lakeland Trust for Natural Sciences), the zoo prides itself on its commitment to education and conservation of wild species and wild spaces.

Delicious, wholesome food is available every day from the Wild Café, which has a conservatory and outdoor picnic area.
