Fancy watching a medieval combat reenactment – in Morecambe?
This weekend, Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th August 2026 , Flores de Chevalerie bring a free medieval tournament to Happy Mount Park. Knights and squires take to the arena to fight competitively with weapons and techniques from 800 years ago, and this isn’t a staged show, it’s a genuine competition, with points earned throughout the day and a scoreboard to track who’s leading.

The action runs from 11.00am to 4.00pm both days, with tournament rounds through until the Grand Melee at 3.45pm:
Between rounds, there’s the chance to meet the knights, try on real armour and grab a family photo, plus princess performances, meet and greets, crafts and storytelling throughout the day.
A brilliant free family day out, and a great excuse to spend some time at Happy Mount Park this weekend. Head down and see who takes the crown.

Flores de Chevalerie is dedicated to recreating the sights, sounds, and splendour of the 13th century with the edge of genuine modern competition. Whether you’re a history enthusiast, a family seeking a unique day out, or an aspiring knight at heart, they offer an unforgettable adventure for all ages.
