After what was a completely crazy day yesterday, some welcome help is available for businesses affected by the flooding.
Sainsbury’s was among the businesses impacted by flooding, closing all day; the White Cross pub also closed when its bar area was flooded. Floods also impacted the Marsh estate and other areas of Lancaster.
A team from Lancaster City Council’s Cleansing Department will be out in the city centre today, Friday 21st August, looking to help affected businesses dispose of debris and flood-damaged waste.
Understandably, the team won’t necessarily know which businesses have been affected or who could benefit from their free assistance.
So, if your business in the City centre has been affected by the flooding, and you have waste or debris that needs removing, please tag your business on this Totally Lancaster post on Facebook so the team knows where help is needed.
