Lancaster City Council is asking people for their views on proposals for improved visitor parking arrangements in residents’ parking zones.
The existing arrangements and charges have not changed for many years and require residents to visit Lancaster or Morecambe Town Hall on a regular basis to purchase and renew visitor cards.
The consultation asks residents for their views on proposals to simplify arrangements and to make them more convenient.
Under the proposals residents’ visitor cards would be replaced by annual visitor permits.

The deadline for comments is Friday 11th December 2015. Views submitted as part of the consultation will be considered by the city council prior to a decision being made on the proposals.
Any proposed changes would then have to be considered by Lancashire County Council for changes to traffic regulation orders and subsequent implementation across all the parking zones in Lancaster and Morecambe.
