A new bus service to the Yorkshire Dales from Lancaster is now running every Sunday and Bank Holiday (including Jubilee Tuesday) until 21st October 2012.

The Northern Dalesman bus leaves Lancaster Bus Station at 0915, running via Caton (0928), Hornby (0936), Wray (0940) and Wennington (0944) to Bentham, Ingleton, Ribblehead and Hawes, continuing via the Buttertubs Pass to Muker, Reeth and Richmond. There’s a connecting bus from Carnforth at 0848 on service 55.

The Northern Dalesman service is part of the DalesBus network, managed by the Dales and Bowland Community Interest Company. There’s no need to book in advance and tickets are available from the driver. An All Dales Rover allowing unlimited travel on the DalesBus network for a day is £10, and concessionary passes are valid.
