Police are appealing for witnesses following an assault McDonalds in Lancaster.

The incident happened inside the McDonald’s store on Cheapside on Tuesday 17th May 2011 at around 5.20pm.

The victim, a schoolboy, had a milkshake carton thrown at him before being grabbed around the throat and attempted to push him to the ground.

A CCTV image has been released of a man officers would like to speak to in connection with this offence.

“I would appeal for anyone who witnessed what happened to come forward and contact police,” says PC Chris Smith, Community Beat Manager for Lancaster City Centre.

“I would also like to hear from anyone who recognises the man in the picture, or indeed the man himself.

“It is important we find the person responsible for this assault and bring them to justice.”
