Save The Date: Lancaster Rewind Festival: 1972 lands in the city on Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th September 2022.

Lancaster Rewind Festival is a new event for the city turning the clock back 50 years showcasing some of the longest standing businesses in Lancaster, highlighting our heritage, how buildings have changed, and remembering the music of 1972 with free 70’s entertainment in Market Square on Sunday 18th Sept.

Lancaster BID, the organisers, have teamed up with Hpa Chartered Architects who have curated an exhibition of images of Lancaster from 1972 alongside photos which recapture the same view today – displaying in Lancaster City Museum from Thursday 15th September to Wednesday 28th September.

Meanwhile, walking tours on Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th September will lead you back through time to 1972, telling tales of some of Lancaster’s longest established businesses.

For music lovers there’s have an evening with author and former Lancaster University Students Union concert organiser Barry Lucas on Saturday 17th Sept upstairs at The Pub on China Street, recalling memories of 1972 when some of history’s music legends came to town, as well as 1972 music quiz and 1970’s disco.

All this and so many more surprises are coming soon…
