Annual Lancaster & Morecambe Trades Union Council International Workers’ Day March & Rally.
This year the march was in support of local NHS services, which are being restructured with proposals for heavy cuts.

Lancaster & District Pensioner’s Campaign Group is organising a public meeting in support of Morecambe’s Altham Meadows Centre. This NHS Centre provides local specialist services for sufferers of dementia and, despite opposition from Lancaster City Council, it is faced with closure, with proposals to centralise Lancashire NHS dementia services in Blackpool or central Lancashire.
The meeting will be on Wednesday 12 June at 6.30pm at St Martin of Tours Church Centre, Braddon Close, Westgate, Morecambe, LA4 4UZ.
