Police are appealing for information after a motorcyclist was seriously injured following a collision in Morecambe.

At around 4.40pm on Tuesday 10th September, a Honda SH 125cc was being ridden along Marine Road East when it hit a bollard in the centre of the road.

The rider, a 55 year old man from Bolton-le-Sands, was treated by paramedics at the scene and was taken to Royal Lancaster Infirmary, where he is said to be in a serious but stable condition.

“If anybody witnessed the collision I would ask them to contact police,” urges Sergeant Tracey Ward. “I am also keen to speak with anybody who may have seen the motorbike being ridden prior to the collision.”
