Police are appealing for information after a 27-year-old man was assaulted by a large gang of youths during a night out in Morecambe last month.

Around 11.20pm on Saturday 20th October 2012, the man was attacked by the group outside the Carleton nightclub just off Marine Road West. He was punched and kicked a number of times and was taken to the Royal Lancaster Infirmary where he was treated for cuts and bruises.

There was a large group of around 20-30 youths causing a nuisance in the area that night and it is believed some of them may have been involved.

PC James Hodgson said: “I am keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this assault. If you were in the area at the time of this incident and have any information you think could help then please get in touch.
