This bank holiday weekend provides an opportunity for communities to come together and celebrate the Queen’s platinum jubilee.

There are a number of activities taking place across the Lancaster district to celebrate this historic milestone, from local street parties to bigger events.

There are also a lot of people involved in the Big Jubilee Lunch around the area, taking place on Sunday 5th June, aiming to bring the jubilee celebrations into the heart of every community.

People are invited to share friendship, food and fun with neighbours as part of the Platinum Jubilee celebrations. A Big Jubilee Lunch can be big or small – street party or picnic, tea and cake or a garden barbeque. For more information check out The Big Jubilee Lunch website, hosted by our Eden Project Communities.
