The stolen trike is similar to the one attached but is blue in colour.

Lancaster Police are appealing for information about a distinctive blue Recumbent Trike stolen from a yard in Lancaster town centre.

The theft took place sometime between 5.00pm on Thursday 25th July and 8.00am on Friday 26th July at a rear yard at a house on Queen Street.

The bike is described as being a blue ICE 21 gear Recumbent Trike with 20inch thick wheels and a light bracket fitted at the front.

PC Philip Williamson said: “The trike is very unusual and is made by Inspire Cycle Engineering ICE Cornwall. It is worth in the region of £2,500 so it’s possible it has been stolen to order.

“I’d appeal to anybody that has any information about the theft or the whereabouts of the trike to contact police on 101 quoting reference LC-20130726-0436.”
