Police are appealing for information after a man was hit by a car at around 10.00pm on Wednesday 24th July on Bulk Road.

The 21-year-old man was with his mother when the car came screeching down the road and performed a U-turn and stopped. A short conversation took place before the vehicle drove knocking the man over.

He went up onto the car bonnet and the windscreen but escaped with minor injuries. The man was treated at the Royal Lancaster Infirmary and was released shortly after.

The vehicle has been described as a dark grey Audi A3.

It’s thought the driver is known to the victim.

PC Michael O’Regan said: “It was pure luck that the victim wasn’t more seriously injured and I would urge anyone who witnessed the incident to contact us. You can contact Lancashire Police on 101 quoting the log number LC-20130724-1948 or you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
